After the leaves turn to rust and the night temperature hits freezing there’s not much enthusiasm for an outdoor Farmer’s Market. Several communities find ways to move the markets inside and that’s the case with this one held in the Exhibition Hall at the Topsham Fairground each Friday from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM starting in November and ending sometime in April. It’s easy to find and there’s plenty of parking.
Once inside you’ll find a variety of vendors with baked goods and fresh vegetables, local meats, and even one selling small batch roasted coffee. You can enjoy live music while you shop, and you will really want to save room for lunch at the Midcoast Market Café. We tried the cafe and decided we will need to come back for more.
The Market maintains a page on Facebook – Midcoast Winter Farmer’s Market for up to date information.
